Enter: D'artagnan
As the latest addition to this musketeer-like alliance, I'll try to stretch the inspirational boundaries even more. If possible. So, as a sucker for wicked visual excellence (and those two french guys) here we go.

Animal Love
Short and sweet the variety of this post will be.
Once again a missed gem from my side. Really something to get in the weekend groove with and will surely be hitting my eardrums on my way to Wburg or LES.
As a bonus I'm adding one for the way home..

Pristine and pulverizing
A different kind of treat for you today, a bit noisy some might say. I’m a sucker for new kinds of music, and I haven’t really heard one like this before, not this good anyway. Be sure to put your headphones on tight, turn up the volume and enjoy; Sleigh bells – Tell ‘em.

Seattle
I'm a big fan of the music that came out of Seattle early 90's, especially Soundgarden and Alice in chains. Here's a song from AIC's Jar of flies from 1994 that I have been listening to today. It's mostly sung by lead guitarrist Jerry Cantrell and not Layne Staley. Even though Layne is a great vocalist, it can still be nice when someone else in the band grips the mic once in a while (like Duff on You can't put your arms around a memory and Keith Richards on You got the silver)

One here and another on the way
As I've mentioned earlier, two of the most anticipated albums of 2010 are B.o.B's B.o.B presents the adventures of Bobby Ray and Big Boi's solo debut Sir Lucious Left Foot: The son of Chico Dusty (I'm not counting Speakerboxxx as a solo album). B.o.B's album dropped a couple of weeks ago, and it's been embraced both by the critics and the fans, and climbed all the way up to the nr. 1 spot on the american charts in it's first week out - not bad. Here's a nice song from the album, featured by gun lover T.I. and Playboy Tre (don't know about that name though...)
While B.o.B is seen as the next big thing, Big Boi has been around for some time releasing a bunch of classics together with Andre 3000 (who I rank high on my list over the best rappers - maybe I should make one of those posts some time). A number of tracks has already leaked from the Big Boi album, and so far I think it sounds very promising. Release date is set to July 6.

3 for 1
It's wednesday, and I'm free from work tomorrow, so I thought it was suitable to celebrate a little with a new post (the first in some time, it will be better from now on). This time I'll give you three songs with the same soft beat produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. While both Ghostface and Rick Ross had the song on their 2009 albums, I found Slick Pulla's on a mixtape, Voicebox unleashed. Personally, I think Ghostface is pure gold on beats like this, which one do you like best?

I can roll and shoot at the same time

Although Stockholm doesn’t show itself from the best side today I’m trying to embrace the forthcoming summer, and what better way to do it than by BLK JKS and their Zol!. Amazing! I’m looking forward to their EP with the same name out in June.

New York, New York - big city of dreams...

...coming from Queens, where we don't get cought up in between.
At the moment, I'm on vacation in New York with MLK (and BR), and as the huge hip hop fan I am, I'm thriving while being in the rap capital of the world (at least it used to be the rap capital). As you already know, NY has been the home and birthplace of maaaaany of the greatest rappers that's ever existed, such as Biggie, Jay-Z (watch that!) and Nas just to mention a few. I've always been big a fan of the NY style of rap, and been planning to make a bit longer city specific post about the ciry (and a few other), but since I just got home from a night out and really need the sleep I'll do that another time. Inspired by the city, I just want to leave you with this classic from Royal Flush, of witch I've taken this post's title (ye ye, I know it's originally from a Grandmaster Flash song).
