Friday rewind

Ok, so keeping to a friday held for one week... Anyways, here's another classic and this time from one of my favourite producers The Alchemist. It's from his album 1st infantry from 2004, a quite nice album featuring a lot of good rappers in addition to the Alchemist himself (who isn't a that rapper...).

Friday rewind

To try to get some consistency here I thought I'd start with a classic concept - Friday rewind. It is exactly what the name says; every Friday I'll post a good old track that for some reason can be concidered a classic (in my mind at least). Nothing newer than 5 years is the only rule. Let's get it on.

I was thinking of this song on the bus home earlier so why not use as the first Friday rewind and get off to a running start with perhaps the most legendary rapper of all, Biggie Smalls, giving his take on the G-funk era.

Keeping the south alive

No secret I'm a big fan of southbound rap in general and UGK in particular. Unfortunately Pimp C passed away a couple of years ago, but in Big K.R.I.T. he has got a good successor. Here's a good tune from the latter.
